A tectonic shift is taking place in the workplace. For the first time ever, four generations exist at work. Each generation approaches work, play, learning and health differently. We have assembled experts from various generations to demystify this shift, give personal insight, and explore the benefits of creating the new workplace that will bring both social and
collaborative benefits to your bottom line.
These topics will be discussed and explored by our knowledgeable panelists:
Bill Clegg of Fletcher Thompson, Josh Hagstrom of Interscape, Linda Spevacek of Launch Companies, Peter Olson of CBRE/Travelers,
and Kelsey Rath of Talcott Realty Investors.
|Feb 26, 2013 Michael Freimuth- Breakfast Program
In September 2012, Governor Malloy and the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) announced that Michael W. Freimuth will head the agency. Mr. Freimuth was recently the Commissioner of the Department of Development in New Rochelle, NY where directed a multi-division economic development organization that oversees housing, planning and zoning, and transportation. Prior to becoming New Rochelle’s Commissioner, he headed the Office of Economic Development in Stamford.

|ASHRAE Changes- Breakfast Program
Event Location: The Harford Club 46 Prospect St. Hartford, CT
Standards and Requirements
ASHRAE 90.1 is a standard that provides
minimum requirements for energy efficient
designs for buildings except for low-rise
residential buildings. The original standard
ASHRAE 90 was published in 1975 and had
multiple editions to it in years after. In 1999,
the Board of Directors for ASHRAE voted and
placed the standard on continuous maintenance,
which allowed it to be update multiple
times in a year. This is because of the rapid
change in technology and energy prices.
There are many states that apply the
ASHRAE 90.1 standard to different buildings
that are being constructed or under renovation.
Most states apply the standard or
equivalent standards for all commercial buildings
while others apply the standard or
equivalent standards for all government buildings.
Join your BOMA colleagues to hear
about the new standards and the
‘ c ontinuous maintenance ’ that is allowed.
